1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the HEC Offer Network platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use this Platform. Use of the Platform is restricted to current students and alumni of HEC Paris with a valid @hec.edu, @hec.fr, or @mailhec.com (alumni) email address.

2. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Each account is personal and non-transferable. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and keep your profile up to date. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3. User-Generated Content

Users may submit offers, interview experiences, and other content. By submitting content, you represent that:

• The information is truthful and based on your genuine experience
• You have the right to share this information
• The content does not violate any confidentiality or non-disclosure agreements
• You grant the Platform a non-exclusive license to display and use this content for community benefit

4. Prohibited Conduct

• Submitting false, misleading, or fabricated offer/experience data
• Impersonating another student or using someone else's credentials
• Harassing or sending unsolicited messages to other users
• Scraping, copying, or redistributing Platform data without authorization
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to admin or other user accounts

5. Privacy, Data Protection & Confidentiality

We collect and store your email, name, program details, and any content you submit. Your data is used solely to operate the Platform and improve the community experience. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Profile Visibility Controls

You have full control over who can see your personal information. In your Profile settings, you can choose:

• Verified HEC Members — All verified students and alumni can see your name and contact info
• Admin Only — Only platform administrators see your full details; others see only your initials
• Hidden — Fully anonymous; shown as "Anonymous" to all users including admins

Email addresses shared via the Coffee Chat feature are visible only to registered, email-verified users who have opted in. You may opt out at any time via your Profile settings.

Data Handling Commitment

• Personal data is only visible to verified HEC community members (students, alumni, and admins)
• No personal information is exposed to unregistered or unverified visitors
• WhatsApp numbers and LinkedIn profiles are optional and only displayed if you choose to share them
• You may update or delete your personal information at any time through your Profile
• We do not share your data with external recruiters, companies, or any third parties

6. Verified Badge

The "Verified" badge is assigned by Platform administrators after manual review. It indicates that the offer has been confirmed through available evidence. The absence of a Verified badge does not imply the offer is false.

7. Disclaimer

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any user-submitted content. Salary, offer, and interview information should be used as general guidance only and not as definitive career advice.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Platform and its administrators shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the Platform or reliance on information found here, including but not limited to decisions made based on offer or interview data.

9. Modifications

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform.
